BIO

“To me, astrology is the ultimate what if,” Dawn explains. “When you stop and look up at the stars, when you chart out your future through the heavens, when you look at how you and the planets interact, and how that affects your interactions with other people, that’s all a great big what-if type of scenario. I love to tease myself with new chances, with new what-ifs. If you think about it, every day of your life is a great big what-if. It’s the chance to do new and exciting things. It’s a way to say to yourself, the past is all over with, and in front of me is a brand new day. The choices I make all determine what the day will bring. And the best part is, no matter what you choose, you don’t really know what that’s going to be, do you? You have no idea. Nobody could, unless they could see the future. I don’t think I would want the ability to see the future. I just want to live in the now, and I love to be surprised. When you know what is coming, you can’t ever be surprised. But being surprised is what makes the whole world worth living. How could you ever be unhappy, knowing that with each morning and each new dawn comes an opportunity to live something new, do something new, and be somebody new? That’s why I’ve always been so grateful my mother named me the way she did. I take real pleasure in each new dawn, and if I can watch the sun rise with my date after a night of partying, that’s even better.”

Dawn explains that the all-night party lifestyle is what initially drew her to escorting, but it is this that keeps her in the job as well. “I’m a wild child,” she says. “I freely admit that. There are plenty of Hot Girls in Las Vegas who say that, sure, but they don’t really mean it. Oh, sure, some of them can party for a few days. A few of them can handle it for a couple of weeks. And there are those rare Vegas girls who can go on a month-long bender and then need the rest of the summer or whatever to recover from it. I think we have probably all been there in our personal lives. But I like to say that I am a party professional. No matter what my date wants, no matter how he wants to have fun, no matter what he wants to go out and do, it’s my job to be up for it. I’ve got to be up to the challenge and up to the task. He doesn’t want a girl who can’t stand the heat, so to speak. He’s got to have someone who won’t lose steam before he does, someone with the imagination and the stamina to hang in there with him and really give it her all. Whether it’s the first day of the year or the last day of the year, you’ve got to be the sort of woman who is worth partying with. That’s a real responsibility and I take it seriously.”

Getting away from it all and going camping is Dawn’s way of focusing on someone, whether it is her date or herself. “Nobody really focuses on other people anymore,” she says. “We are always distracted by something else. We are talking to someone and, hey, wait, a text message comes in, so we ignore the people we’re standing right in front of in order to take a message from someone who isn’t there and who could really wait. I think that’s not just rude, but it’s a way of wasting your life, because you’re never really enjoying the people who you are with when you are with them. I like to go camping to places where you can’t get a signal, someplace really remote. I like to be able to focus on my date or, if I go by myself or with a girlfriend, I like to just focus on myself. None of us really takes the time to quiet all those electronic distractions and just get in touch with ourselves. Camping in the wilderness is, for me, a way of doing that. I think if more of us really took the time to disconnect like that, we would all be happier and healthier over all. It’s an opportunity that I think more of us should take. We all deserve it.”

Dawn likes to consider the softer side of life. “You can always find negatives without evening trying,” she says. “It’s harder to look on the positive side, to find the joy in everyday things. It’s all a matter of perspective. I may be a ‘glass is half full’ kind of girl, I guess, but that’s what life is all about, really. You make your best possibilities with what comes your way. And if you can do that, if you can look on the positive side of life, then you can pretty much do anything, you know? That’s my perspective, anyway.”
